Malossi 218cc Cylinder Kit, V4 Head and Cam, for Vespa GT200

This is a Racing Motor in a Box. This Malossi 218cc Kit was developed for the Race Track. This kit consists of the Malossi Racing Cam, the Malossi V4 Head, and the Malossi 75.5 Cylinder and Piston. All components were designed to work in harmony and hold up to a grueling season of circuit racing. We've  got over 20,000 miles on one of these kits, and it's going as strong as ever.

Cylinder
 
Material: primary aluminium alloy with a high content of hardened and tempered silicon, cylinder liner with silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel die and crossed smoothing with two diamond passages with very limited tolerances.
Machining: on machine tools with high precision numerical control.
Cylinder-piston connection with an allowance of 0.05 mm.
Recalculated and upgraded heat exchange surfaces.
Piston
 
Ultra compact with 3 rings.
Material: special aluminium alloy with high silicon content, low thermal expansion and a tin facing on the sliding surfaces.
Machining on machine tools with numerical control.
Lightened and reinforced.
Upgraded heat exchange surfaces.
Piston rings
 
Compression - special rings with high sliding ease and very high mechanical resistance, in chromium-plated S10 spheroidal cast-iron.
1st scraper - ring in chromium-plated S10 spheroidal cast iron.
2nd three - piece scraper ring made of chromium-plated steel alloy.
Head
 
Head made of gravity-fed cast aluminium alloy, tempered and sandblasted, machined within thousandth (mm) tolerances utilizing super precise work cells.
Valve guides designed with new profile, made using a powdered metal sintering process (steel, phosphorous, carbon, copper and manganese).
Valve seats made of cobalt-molybdenum steel alloy characterised by copper infiltration and a special heat/chemical treatment. Increased intake valve - ø 25 mm, made of a special steel alloy and a special heat/chemical treatment.
Increased exhaust valve - ø 22.2 mm and made of Nimonich 80 material (Nickel, Chromium, Titanium, and Aluminium alloy).
Exhaust and Intake valve springs made of Si-Cr oil-tempered and annealed steel, designed to operate optimally under increased loads due to increased engine power.
Power Cam
 
Designed with the Cad-Cam system.
Built with very high precision machinery.
Controlled 100% by measuring instruments with precision capability down to a tenth of a micron.
Designed and constructed to give your scooter a markedly sporting feel enabling you to easily manoeuvre through town traffic and tackle long distances at high cruising speeds.

Aprilia with 125 and 200 CC Piaggio LC 4 Stroke engine.  Aprilia has put so many different engines in so many of their models over the years that it's hard to tell you exactly what this will fit. If you have a liquid cooled Piaggio 125-200cc engine (dipstick on left side of motor, under Variator cover and spin on oil filter on right side of motor, next to oil drain plug) in your liquid cooled Aprilia Scooter, it will fit.
