SKF Fork Bushing Kit VKWA-KYB41-A

New SKF fork slide bushing kit, consisting of:

• 1 internal teflon bushing (41X45X12)
• 1 external teflon bushing (41X39X20)

SKF fork bushings in PTFE composite are the maintenance-free solution in demanding applications such as motorcycle front forks.

SKF fork bushings combine the mechanical strength of steel with the low friction of a self-lubricating PTFE-based sliding layer. The thin intermediate layer of bronze creates a strong bond between the support and the sliding surfaces and improves the dissipation of heat generated during operation. To protect the bushings from corrosion, the steel support is copper-plated.

The PTFE-based sliding surface allows smooth and low-friction operation for a soft ride feel. During a short initial break-in phase, a transfer of PTFE material will occur from the bushings to the contact surface of the stem and sleeve. Only after this transfer of material will the maximum performance in terms of low friction and wear of these bushings be obtained
